Press Play Team Participating in National History Day Contest

The Satellite Center’s Advanced TV Broadcasting Class is participating in the National History Day Contest being held at the WWII Museum on March 19th. This year’s theme is “Exploration, Encounter and Explore.”
The AM Class is creating a documentary on the 1811 Slave Revolt in the River Parishes and the PM Class is creating a documentary on the Mardi Gras Indians in New Orleans.
The ATVB Team Members will present their documentaries to a panel of judges on March 19th in the regional round of the competition. If the students make it past the regional round they will then go on to compete at the State level and possibly the National competition in Washington, D.C.
