Get excited to see Destrehan Theatre Department’s Annie Get Your Gun! Annie Get Your Gun is a fictionalized version of the life of Annie Oakley, a sharpshooter who starred in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West, and her romance with sharpshooter Frank Butler. The rehearsal process for these actresses and actors is long and hard. Each performer has to learn different dances, blocking, music, and learn lines. 

This team works hard to make sure they tell their audience a story and keep them entertained. Anyone who comes to see the show will be greeted with a nice western appeal and very interesting characters. Destrehan Theatre Department is excited to have to join this journey through the wild west and like Frank Butler says, “There’s no business like show business!”
