Technical Theatre is a course that advances team members’ abilities behind the scenes of a production and makes them employable for tech theatre jobs. The course provides a survey of all aspects of Technical Theatre, including design and construction of scenery, lighting, sound, props, costuming, and makeup, as well as rigging and stage management. Team members can even earn compensation by working on productions at the Lafon Performing Arts Center. By taking this class, team members will gain the experience needed for jobs in the technical theatre field in the future.
