Lip Dub Reflection -2018- Miranda Hall

Miranda Hall, Speaker

  • What are your thoughts on how the Lip Dub video came out? What were some things that you liked about it? What are some things that could have been improved?

My thoughts on how the Lip Dub video came out is that it came out great. There were some things we could’ve changed like maybe adding more people in the Lafon Performing Arts Center when Digital Media was walking out. I really liked the transition from the Lafon center to the Sat center and then from am to pm.

  • Do you think the video accomplished its purpose of promoting the Satellite Center and Open House/Showcase? If yes, how? If no, why not? How did you think this year’s video compared to years past?

Yes, I believe it did promote the Satellite center and the open house. It showed the many classes and some of the things we do in thee classes along with how fun it can be. I liked this year’s video better than the others from before my class because ours was more organized and planned out.

  • What did you think about the process of Lip Dub: Brainstorming, Pitch Meeting, Planning, Class Meetings, Recording, etc.? What were some aspects you liked? Why did you like them? What are some things about the process that you wished would have gone differently? How could they have been improved?

The process of Lip Dub was stressful but fun. The planning was kind of hard because we had to meet up with certain classes at certain times, also they weren’t all willing to participate. I liked Lip Dub because it was challenging and gave us a change of scenery. I wish we would have maybe involved AM a little bit more but it can be improved next year when we make a lip dub for am and pm.

  • When I’m planning this project for my Team Members next year, what are some things that you think should stay the same? What are some things that I should plan differently (give specific examples of how you think I should fix them)? What advice do you have for next year’s Team Members when working on Lip Dub?

Some things that should stay the same is the transition from the Lafon center to the SAT center/ am to pm. Some things to change would be to involve more people with the filming process. My advice for next year’s Team Members is to stay on task, plan for the unexpected, and have fun because this project is to draw potential students in.
