Pink Link Reflection

Joliette Vincent, Editor

Our pink link video was a Youtube styled video and I think it came out very good. I was the editor for this video, I mostly worked on graphics and putting the video in order. Our group did a good job establishing the idea of pink links breast cancer research because all of our videos had that same central idea. Our ATVB crew worked very well together because we split up the project so that all of us had a job, and we all worked really hard to make the video come out as good as it did. Working with another group that didn’t understand the production process was a new, but very needed experience because it taught us to work around problems that arose. The most challenging thing about this project was working on the Youtube video transitions because it was a very tedious process that needed a lot of fine tuning to do. While that was the hardest part of the project it was also my favorite part as well because it was a great feeling to put hours of work into something and have people complement you on it. If we could do this project over again I would probably get more angles and more takes of things. Because of the “hurricane” we were not able to get all the shots we wanted and we did not have time to retake something that wasn’t ideal. My advice for a team member next year is to be flexible. You may have everything planed out to the T but most likely that is not how it will happen, so just be calm and do your best even tough you may not have planed that thing out.
