Pink Links: Haunted Newscast Reflection

Miranda Hall, Camera/Editor/ Set designer/ Script writer

This video was made to bring awareness to Breast Cancer.

How did you feel about how your group’s video came out?
I feel my groups video came out satisfactory. It was actually pretty good.
What was the role that you played in the project?
My role was being the editor, scriptwriter, set designer, and I filmed.
Did you feel your group established its purposes of encouraging people to buy Pink Links to support breast cancer research? Why or why not?
I think my groups video got people to buy Pink Links more because it gave facts and our actors were playing as dead breast cancer patients. Everything was gloomy and it set the mood.
How did your crew work together (just your ATVB crew)?
I think my group worked well together. We got what we needed done. There were times some of us were off task but we ended up finishing the video on time.
What was it like collaborating with the other groups that don’t necessarily have knowledge of the production process?
It was different collaborating with groups that had no knowledge on how we filmed and what exactly we do. It was also nice to get a change of scenery and to have their input. To see how we did things and how they did things.
What was the most challenging part of the project? Why?
The most challenging part of this project was editing because we had to match the audio and we had to make sure it was black and white. Also, we had to make the pink slips pink.
What was your favorite part of the project?
My favorite part of this project was set design, set design shopping, and editing.
If you could do this project over again, what would you do differently?
If I could do this project over again I would fix the editing, make the audio for the music more subtle, and fix how we filmed. Also, make sure the actors know more of what they’re doing.
Any advice you have for Team Members doing this project next year?
The advice I have for Team Members doing this project next year is to make sure you’re on task, you do everything you’re supposed to, and make sure you film the same scene multiple times so you can make sure everything is how you need it and the audio is good incase something goes wrong.
