Press Play News: Quarter I

Kaycee Joseph

LULING,LA- For this quarter, we had to choose and focus and do a story on it. I chose News as my topic. My story was on the new bike paths being built around St. Charles Parish that are similar to the ones on Ormond Blvd.

My peers gave very great feedback when it comes to my videos. Some positive things that they said were that my audio was not overmodulated, and I had good interviews with the citizens. They also said that my interview with Tristin was really good and I had some great shots. I do agree with this feedback because I worked extremely hard to make sure all of these things came out the right way.

In addition to the positive feedback, they also gave me a few things that I could improve on. My peers said that I had a few shaky shots, and that my voice over could be brought up a little more. I do agree with this feedback as well because these were also things that I saw when I was watching over my video as well.

The number one thing that I learned this quarter is that procrastination is never good. Waiting until the last minute to do a story is a horrible idea. If I could start this story over, the only thing that I would do differently is watching my story again to nit pick the small things that can be fixed.
