Press Play News: Quarter I

Angelle Davis

LULING, LA– This is the Press Play Newscast from the first quarter. For the first quarter, I chose the weather concentration. I ended up doing a traffic story on the L.A.C.E Program.

Some things my peers said I did positively is that I had a good intro and included some good facts. They also said that my story came out good even though I wasn’t able to include an interview. I do agree with them because I believe that my video was good considering all of the roadblocks I encountered.

Some things that my peers said I could have done better is that I could’ve have a lower voiceover and that I shouldn’t have held my mic so tightly and closely to my face. They also said that I could have had shorter B-roll. I do agree with them to a certain extent because I have noticed that my voiceovers were a little overmodulated.

The number one thing that I learned this quarter is that you shouldn’t waste your time because if something comes up you won’t have to worry about working on things at the last minute. If I could start this project over again, I would make a schedule of when I want to do things so that I won’t fall behind and have to worry about having to rush and add in last minute things.
