Lip Dub 2018

Larry Davis, Planner

I think the people who planned and had a creative hand in it did well! I really enjoyed working with my talent and explaining to them how the Lip Dub would work, and what’s expected. Some things that need to improve is the tension between the two classes on which song will be chosen and also how the other people around them take it. I think that if we, as a unit, could’ve put aside petty differences, the video could’ve been a lot better. However, I do think that we reached our goal of being able to put the video on the parish channel, because we were able to get the Satellite Center team members working and having fun. Even when some people didn’t remember the words, the camera man was able to improvise and get nice QUALITY shots. One big challenge we faced was the fight for “equality,” and we overcame this by realizing that as young adults, everything won’t go your way so just let it go. My number 1 take away is that I can change the outlook on a whole group of people by letting them see my POSITIVE attitude. Next year you should try and get AM and PM on the same page before the project is there. My advice to next year’s group is that no matter what, you will be remembered by the Lip Dub. Therefore, if your video sucks, then your ATVB group sucks.
