Fall Feature Story: Stephanie Oubre

Talia Ward

LULING, LA- Stephanie Oubre is a Hahnville Volleyball player. She is a senior also a good leader, good teammate, and a good player. When I talked with one of her good friend and teammate she said, “she always have a positive attitude on the court and she continues to pick everyone up off the court and continues to pick herself up during the game”. Having a positive attitude and picking up the team shows how good of a leader she is. She also has a good role on the team. I talked with her coach of four years and she said she has a huge impact on the team. Coach Sharwarth said, ” she plays a major role for our offensive team, she leads us in kills . . . “. Stephanie is such a good player. She was a district leader and just a awesome player. When I played volleyball with Oubre she was such a quite person but she got over that through the years. Stephanie plays middle on the court, she has been playing volleyball since recreation. She does not want to play volleyball after high school so this was her last year playing. Stephanie hopes that one day she can become a teacher.  She has had a spectacular four years at Hahnville and she hopes that her team can continue to get better and makes the playoffs and make state while she is gone.
