Lately, my fellow team members and I have been working on a project for The Arc. The Arc is an organization that helps individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. They asked us to create commercials to help advertise their different enterprises. They have six enterprises, so we divided ourselves into six groups to be sure that each enterprise was covered. I was assigned the group that had the overall PSA of The Arc. In our video, we explained exactly what the Arc does and how it helps the community.We began this project by researching all about The Arc. It was very important to understand what we were advertising. We had to be sure that we were giving the correct information to the people that would view this video. After finding out as much information that we could upon The Arc, we began scriptwriting and brainstorming what we wanted to portray in the video. Once we decided on how we wanted it to look we began filming. Once we filmed everything, we edited and added some finishing touches to the video. This process helped us create one of the great videos that my class created for The Arc.

At first, I thought this was going to be a tough task to complete, but with the help of my team members, we made it happen. I really enjoyed this project. I enjoyed every aspect of it, from the beginning all the way to the final product. It was really fun to complete. There was only one thing that I did not like. I wish that we had a little more time to complete the project. But other than that, everything was good. Not only did I enjoy this project, I learned an abundant of things. Somethings that I took away from this project was, The Arc’s true meaning and purpose, how to communicate with others, and how to collaborate with others.This project was totally different compared to the previous ones that we completed.

This project was the first project that we had to collaborate with real clients. The other projects were for people that we knew. But working with someone was kind of challenging. It was challenging because sometimes there is a misunderstanding between people. But other than that, everything went well. My group ran into some other challenges also. (But we worked together to overcome those challenges. In this group, I was very involved. I )

The video came out a whole lot better than I expected. I thought it was gonna be tough to put everything in the video but it worked out really well. I think that this is how the other groups felt also.I think that all of the videos that were submitted were good. Everyone’s video turned out nice. We were able to give and receive feedback to and from our team members. The positives of the feedback were really well. But on the other hand, the criticism was not too well. Some of the things that were mentioned, we were not able to fix them. We also gave feedback to the other groups and I think that they took heed of it.

If this project were to be done again, I would manage time and try to have better communication with the client. Those were the two main problems that we ran into. But there were also somethings that needed to be fixed with the project itself. I liked how we were able to explore and semi become familiar with the enterprises. But I wish we had time to meet people so when we started filming the individuals would not be afraid of who we are. Also, the time allotted for this project was too short. Next year more time needs to be given. If I had the chance to speak to the students that are coming behind me about this project, I would tell them not to be afraid to speak up. Nothing is wrong with asking questions and communicating with the individuals and others. Also, I would tell them to manage their time and be very mindful of the deadlines.
