Arc Reflection Web Journal

Angelle Davis

LULING, LA– This project was a PSA about the different places that The Arc of St. Charles. We split up into different groups to make a video for the different places. We had to record a 30 second and a minute video. My group had to go back to re-record the shots of the different parts of the thrift store.

My thoughts on this project as a whole were that is was very fun to get to learn about these places while recording the PSA’s. I liked that we got to interact with the people that worked there. I didn’t like that for the 30 second video, we couldn’t put as much information in as I would have liked to. Some things I learned throughout the completion of the project was that team work makes the dream work.

It was interesting working with an outside client for the first time. My group worked well together, however, there were some challenges. There was a lot of miscommunication in the beginning. I feel great that I got to edit the 30 second video for this project. My involvement contributed greatly because we got a lot accomplished.

Our video did come out a little differently than I expected but it was still a great video. I wouldn’t say my group’s video was better or worse than the other groups videos because every group had mistakes in their video. The feedback we received from the other groups helped us fix the mistakes we had and made our video better than it was before. I can tell that the other groups took our feedback to make their videos better as well.

If I were to do this project over again, I would go in and think of the feedback I was given before to make a great video. I don’t think there is anything Mr. Robinson needs to change. I think this is a great project for the team members to work on their cooperation and team work. If I had the chance to come back and speak to team members next year, I would just tell them to focus and don’t play around because this class helps you learn a lot of new things.
