Arc Commercial Checkpoint Journal

LULING, LA- I think that our group’s commercial is going very well so far. It was very time consuming collecting all of the different footage from each individual group, making our video and editing process run longer than others. However, since the video runs longer, there is more videos, interviews, and different parts of The Arc that we can show. I found that the positive feedback helped with continuing on with the video effectively, but the constructive criticism did not help much at all because it was either things that we could not change or things that we could not get to in the time allotted and I had already thought of the problems. I did implement one of the changes that was suggested which was taking out a black spot that lasted a millisecond. The rest of the recommendations were things that either could not be fixed or changes that were already in place. The next steps in our project would be adding more details about the residential services that The Arc provides and adding names by some individuals and workers. I think the Arc representatives will enjoy our video because not only did we incorporate all of the enterprises, as they asked, but also added plenty of footage of the individuals doing their jobs. We also used many creative techniques we learned in our Advanced Television Broadcasting class in order to make the video as understandable as possible.
