BOUTTE, LA – The Hahnville Tigers seemed to shrug off the slow start they had against the Blue Jays in the jamboree with 28 unanswered points against the West Jeff Bucs in the first half on the way to a 41-6 victory.

The tiger offense led by Jhaquan Jackson and Anthony Williams gashed the Bucs for 419 yards on the ground, with Williams contributing 162 yards and Jackson pitching in with 81 yards behind a stout offensive line. The Tigers played stingy defense from start to finish racking up 5 sacks. Senior Lyncoy Reynaud contributed 2 of 5 Quarterback sacks. The secondary also contributed with an interception.

For the West Jeff Bucs it was a story of the injury bug. The Bucs were riddled with injuries throughout the whole game with one player being carted off the field. The only bright spot for The Bucs was a touchdown pass from Wallace Lucas to Dijon Singleton for 30 yards.

This week the 1-0 Tigers take on the 0-1 John Ehret Patriots this Friday.
