My First Video

Gabrielle Wood

My first video didn’t really come out as good as when I make other videos by myself and I think that’s because I’m so used to dealing with a smaller camera, (Nikon), and tripod. My camera also manually focuses and sets the balance where as with the TV Broadcasting one, we struggled to maintain a white balance and get good quality. However, we did get a bunch of good shots and it was a really fun project to do. I also edit videos on either Imovie, Windows, or Final Cut Pro so working with Adobe Premier was something new for me. I learned how to do the basic things on it such as splitting/deleting, adding titles, transitions and how to upload music. Working with a partner was another challenge for me, even though he was a great partner, I just usually do my own projects and prefer to work independently. Overall, I am glad we did this project because I got to practice with using a bigger camera, editing in Adobe Premier and collaborating with my peers! I can’t wait to improve on these areas of filming as I practice more and more in this class.
