In the fourth quarter Hahnville almost caught up with Riverside, only being 3 points behind. Unfortunately, Riverside pounded out the remainder of time with their quarterback, Herb McGee, and offensive line. Although coach Salt was disappointed about Hahnville’s loss against Riverside, he was not shocked about the outcome of the game. “Sadly the outcome of the game really didn’t surprise me, we practiced poorly the entire week to the point where on Thursday we started practice over midway through, and that was the day before the game” coach Salt expressed. “We didn’t prepare very well, so hopefully we learned a lesson because we play another really good one this week” coach said.

The Hahnville Tigers will take on the Destrehan Wildcats Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Hahnville Stadium. Hahnville and Destrehan both have very talented players, so this will be an exciting and highly anticipated game. “It’s going to be a battle Friday night for us”, coach Salt said. There is nothing like the Battle on the River game. “There’s not any competition that I’ve been involved with that equates with this battle. It deserves the accolades that it gets, it’s one of the very true, great high school football rivalries in the United States.
